Today I am thankful for goodreads. I was turned on to this fabulous website by my also fabulous friend, Brittney and I have been hooked since. Although, I'm a little bit bitter that I didn't start the website myself since I've been tracking what I have read since I was in middle school.
Goodreads is a tiny bit like facebook, in the sense that it is a social network, there is a recent updates feed, you have "friends", et cetera, but it's a network for reading...how fun is that? Or wait, is that nerdy? Hmm...anyway, it provides me a great format for tracking what books I read and how I like them, seeing what my "friends" (I only have four) read, and even makes suggestions on what books I may like.
It's hilarious how gratifying it is to change a book from my "currently reading shelf" to my "read shelf". And the "to read shelf" comes in handy at the bookstore and the library when I'm browsing the shelves thinking, "I know there was a book I really wanted to read, now what was it?"
Like I said, I only have four goodreads friends and I would love a few more to swap shelves with, so check it out!
