Day 190: July 9, 2011

Today I am thankful to have my buddies back after their European Summer holiday!

We spent the afternoon with the Fujiis celebrating their return home in true European style. 

First stop: wine tasting- always a fun way to start off! 

Second stop: Casa de Fujii for Spanish tapas (with an Italian and Greek Flair. And a bit of French thrown in for good measure). Flat bread and Greek yogurt curry dip made by Mrs. Fujii and delicious hummus made my Mr. Fujii. And sliced baguette rubbed with tomatoes and topped with cheese and meat. All washed down with Prosecco Sangria. 

Needless to say, we required a walk after all that, so we strolled through the neighborhood with the doggies and enjoyed the sunshine! 

Before heading home for the night we finished wish freshly baked apricot crumble. 

I'm always thankful for a fabulous, relaxed Saturday with friends, but it's even sweeter when they've been gone for almost a month (and they come bearing European souvenirs and make yummy food)!
