Day 199: July 18, 2011


Today my baby turned two! 

Beet Carrot cake for the Birthday girl!

She loved the hat ;)

It feels like no time has passed since the day that Nick and I went to "look at puppies" and walked out the door twenty minutes later with the puppy we named Zoe. She stood out in the pack of the three fluffy Goldens because she was smaller and lighter than the other two, but also because she kept climbing on top of them to get to us. I remember the moment that the breeder handed her to me and pushed us out the door...and thinking "what now?"

The name Zoe comes from the Greek word for life. I think it's pretty fitting since that is what every bone in her wiggly body screams! She is vivacious and full of zest and spunk but still sweet as pie! Do I sound like a proud Mama or what?

Today I'm thankful for...

    Yay for Zoe! I didn't know her name meant that - I agree it is very fitting!! Such cute photos! Taiko sends a big happy birthday slobber kiss.
